Introduction

Lam Tsz Hin, Tyler, is a young pianist from Hong Kong. He holds a Master of Arts in Music from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, where he was awarded a UGC postgraduate fellowship. He previously earned a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Music with First Class Honours from Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU), majoring in piano performance under the mentorship of renowned pianist Ms. Nancy Loo. He was a visiting music student at the University of Leeds, studying piano with Mr. Jeremy Davis and organ with Mr. Darius Battiwalla. He also studied organ with Dr. So Ming Chuen. Lam started learning piano at the age of six. As an active pianist, he has regularly participated in various performances and competitions. 

Lam has won numerous awards both internationally and locally, such as the first prize in Concorso International Di Esecuzione Musicale, Crescendo International Music Competition with a perfect score and the highest score in that year's competition, The 5th Macao –Asia Pacific Youth Piano Competition, The 11th Hong Kong International Youth Performance Art Festival (Young Artist Award), The 2nd Hong Kong Pacific Piano Open Competition, The 16th Hong Kong Asia Piano Open Competition. Second prize in Italy Recondite Armonie "Giovani Musicisti del Mondo" Competition, Bangkok International Piano Competition, International Music Moscow Competition, The 30th Young Musician International Competition "Citta di Barletta", Hong Kong Youth Piano Contest and Third prize in Munich Piano Competition, The 18th Osaka International Music Competition as well as Asian Youth Music Competition. In 2019, Lam got Yundi Li's The Future Pianist Award and was offered a golden opportunity to participate in his masterclass. He also received the HKBU Music's Honour Roll: Honour Students Recital Awards and was a Licentiate diploma holder of the London Trinity College in Piano with Distinction. He also participated in masterclasses by some famous pianists such as Elinor Freer, Jakob Fichert, Milan Franek and Wong Chi Yan.

Since the age of twelve, he has given many public performances in different places, such as the prestigious Carnegie Hall in New York City, the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, Italy, Hong Kong, Mainland China, Macau, and Taiwan, receiving unanimous praise from the experts. He has also been interviewed and featured in several newspapers and music websites. 

Lam also received several scholarships, such as the HKSAR Talent Development Scholarship for four consecutive years, the HSBC Hong Kong Scholarship, the Mr. & Mrs. Ho Ting Sik Scholarship, and the Padma & Hari Harilela Scholarship, among others, to recognise his music and academic achievements. He was also nominated as the Arts Ambassador-in-School, organised by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council and the CUHK Outstanding Students Awards. Furthermore, as the former Internal Vice President of the HKBU Music Society, he also helped promote and organise the university's music activities and was awarded the HKBU Outstanding Student Leaders Award. Lam has also invitied as an adjudicator for piano competitions, such as the GBA Young Artist Music Week Piano Competition and European Star International Music Festival Competition.

He is also enthusiastic about music research activities. In recent years, he has participated in various academic conferences and presented lecture recitals. His research papers have frequently been accepted and published by scholarly journals, such as the International Journal of Music and Musical Offerings Journal, published by the Department of Music at Cedarville University in the United States.

Besides, he was the Music Secretary and Church organist at the Leeds Universities Catholic Chaplaincy and has been selected to participate in the organ training program from the Sacred Music Commission- Catholic Diocese of Hong Kong and also served in the Masses with the choir in the Catholic Churches in Hong Kong regularly.

香港青年鋼琴家林子軒,畢業於香港中文大學音樂文學碩士課程,並獲頒教資會研究生獎學金。林氏以一級榮譽成績完成香港浸會大學音樂文學士(榮譽)學位,主修鋼琴演奏,師承著名鋼琴家羅乃新教授。他曾於英國利茲大學音樂系作交換生,師隨著名英國鋼琴家 Jeremy Davis 及管風琴家Darius Battiwalla 學習。他亦曾跟隨蘇明村博士學習管風琴。林氏六歲起開始學習鋼琴。十二歲起已於美國,英國,德國,日本,意大利,中國內地,香港,澳門,台灣,等地公演,更曾獲邀到美國紐約市著名的卡內基演奏廳表演。

林氏曾於不同大型國際音樂比賽中獲獎,例如在以下比賽中均獲得冠軍;意大利費魯喬·本韋努托·布索尼管弦樂團國際鋼琴比賽,美國克萊森多國際音樂比賽並獲得該屆比賽中最高分得獎者及獎學金,第五屆澳門-亞太青少年鋼琴公開賽,第十一屆香港國際青少年表演藝術節(青年藝術家大獎),第二屆香港亞太區鋼琴公開賽,第十六屆香港亞洲鋼琴公開賽。他亦曾於意大利世界青年音樂家比賽,莫斯科國際音樂比賽,曼谷國際鋼琴大賽,第三十屆意大利巴列塔之城國際青少年音樂比賽,香港青少年鋼琴比賽,等獲得亞軍。 亦於德國幕尼克國際鋼琴大賽,第十八屆日本大坂國際音樂大賽及第六屆亞洲青少年音樂比賽中獲季軍等。林氏更於2019年榮獲李雲迪未來鋼琴家大獎,獲選參與他的個人大師班,同年更獲得由香港浸會大學音樂系頒發之榮譽學生演奏大獎。他亦已取得由倫敦聖三一音樂學院頒發之音樂學士演奏級文憑並獲得優良成績。他曾參與不同著名鋼琴家的大師班,如 Elinor Freer、Jakob Fichert、Milan Franek 及王致仁的大師班,成績獲專家及同行的肯定。

林氏曾受各大媒體採訪及報導,在學期間亦獲頒不同的獎學金,例如曾四度獲頒香港特別行政區政府才藝發展獎學金,滙豐香港獎學金,何廷錫伉儷獎學金,夏利萊博士伉儷優秀學生獎學金,等以表揚其在音樂及學術上的成就。他曾擔任香港浸會大學音樂學會內務副主席,於大學內推廣及籌劃音樂活動並獲選香港浸會大學學生領䄂獎。亦曾被提名為香港藝術發展局校園藝術大使及香港中文大學傑出學生獎。林氏亦曾擔任鋼琴比賽評審,包括粵港澳大灣區青年音樂周大賽,歐洲之星國際音樂節比賽等。

除演奏外,林氏亦熱衷於音樂研究活動。近年,他參加了多個音樂學術會議,並舉辦了多場講座音樂會。他的研究論文亦常被各大學術期刊接納並刊登,包括《國際音樂期刊》,以及由美國賽達維爾大學音樂系出版的《Musical Offerings》期刊。

除此之外,林氏亦活躍於管風琴演奏,他曾擔任英國利茲大學天主教堂的音樂總監及管風琴師。亦獲選參與香港天主教聖樂委員會舉辦的管風琴司證書課程及不時參與香港不同聖堂的管風琴演奏,如主日彌撒,聖詠團表演等。
